Isabella Heymann

Isabella started dancing at the age of five in Sydney, Australia. From the age of sixteen, she started training classical ballet full-time at Ecole Ballet and Dance Theater before moving to Germany in 2009 to train professionally at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik and Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim under the direction of Prof. Birgit Keil. She graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.

From 2012-2016, Isabella was a member of the ballet company of the state theatre of Detmold, Germany where she performed principal roles such as Cinderella by Richard Lowe.

From 2016-2019, she worked with Ballett Vorpommern in Greifswald, Germany under the direction of Ralf Dörnen. A highlight was performing the role of Dulcinea/Aldonza in Ralf Dörnen’s Don Quixotte. She also worked with various guest Choreographers such as Maura Morales, Daniel Morales Peréz, Tiago Manquihno, Sabra Johnson and Robert Glumbek.

In 2019, she performed as Cinderella again in a new creation by Daniel Morales Peréz in Linz, Austria and Bavaria.

Since 2019, she has been pursuing a freelance dance career, working in independent dance productions and films throughout Europe.

Isabella joined Ballet Ireland in 2021.
