Rosa Pierro

Rosa was born in Rome in 1997 and started her studies in 2009 at the Opera Di Roma moving afterwards to the National Academy of Dance in Rome. She graduated from the Vienna State Ballet Academy in 2015.

Rosa won many awards in international ballet competitions such as: a bronze medal in KIBC (Korea International Ballet Competition), bronze medal in the 5th Beijing International Ballet Competition, bronze medal in Wien Welt Wettbewerb 2014, first prize winner at Vibe 2016 and she was given the award of Excellent Dancer Grand Prix at Arenzano In Danza.

In 2014, she started her professional career performing with the Vienna State Ballet where she took part in the following productions: Le Corsaire, The Four Seasons, Carmina Burana, La Sylphide, Etudes, and Swan Lake.

In 2016, she joined the Hungarian National Ballet where she danced in various productions and had the chance to dance as Magda in The Merry Widow, the Pas de Six in Rudi Van Dantzig’s Swan Lake, Hans Van Manen’s Black Cake, and in Wayne Eagling’s The Nutcracker.

Rosa joined the Polish National Ballet in 2018 as a demi-soloist where she had the chance to perform different roles and productions such as: Empress Elizabeth in Macmillan’s Mayerling, the pas de deux Wie Lange Noch by Krzysztof Pastor, different roles in Le Corsaire by Manuel Legris, Infra by Wayne McGregor, Sleeping Beauty by Grygorovic.

During her career, she performed as a Guest Artist in different international ballet galas and productions such as: Gala Des Etoiles in Luxemburg, Weltstar Gala in Vienna, International Ballet Festival of Miami, Arenzano in Danza, Ballet Gala of International Stars in Rome, Wien Welt Wettbewerb Gala, Die Welt zu Gast in Munich, and Metti Le Ali al Talento International Ballet Gala in Cesena.

Rosa joined Ballet Ireland in 2021.
