Salvador Martinez

Salvador was born in Granollers (Barcelona, Spain) in 1996. Initially trained at the Marisa Yudes Dance School, he entered at Royal Professional Dance Conservatory Mariemma of Madrid in 2015 at the age of 19, and graduated in June 2018. At the same time, he graduated with a degree in Law from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Shortly after, he joined the Larreal Youth Company where he danced classical and contemporary repertoire, such as Rhapsody II by Ricardo Franco and Up & Down by Javier Monzón.

In September 2018, Salvador joined Valencia Dancing Forward where he had the opportunity to dance the pas de deux from Les Millons D’Harlequine by Marius Petipa and in Violeta by Ramón Oller. Neo-classical works included: Self by Aleix Mañé and Parade by Ángel Rodríguez.

In February 2019 until December 2022, he was part of the Poznan Ballet Opera House (Poland), where he danced soloist and corps de ballet roles in ballets such as Anna Karenina by Tomasz Kajdański and Swan Lake by Kenneth Greve. He also featured in the contemporary productions of Take Me With You by Robert Bondara, Blind Words by Martynas Rimeinkis, Episode 31 by Alexander Ekman and Stabat Mater by Edward Clug.

Salvador has been honoured to be nominated as ‘Best Dancer’ in the XXIII Performing Arts Criticism Awards of Catalonia and he is the co-founder of the International Dancer Association of Catalonia.

Salvador joined Ballet Ireland in 2023 for the Bold Moves programme.
