Céline Le Grelle

Céline was born in Belgium and after beginning her dance training at a young age, she was accepted at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. During her training she appeared as Clara in the Royal Ballet of Flanders’ production of The Nutcracker.

In 2004 she subsequently joined the Royal Ballet of Flanders where she performed soloist roles in ballets including: Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated, George Balanchine’s Theme & VariationsSerenade and Who Cares. She also performed in William Forsythe’s Impressing the Czar and Artifact, Marcia Haydée’s Swan Lake, John Cranko’s Onegin in addition to ballets by other choreographers including Jacopo Godani, Christian Spuck, Jorma Elo, Cayetano Soto and Xin Peng Wang.

In 2004 she also guest performed with Ballett Dortmund and in 2012 she participated at the Stars Dance Gala of the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. She recently performed with Scottish Ballet in David Dawson’s new creation of Swan Lake (2016), and as a Soloist with Astana Ballet in Kazakhstan.

Céline has previously performed in Ballet Ireland’s Bold Moves (2019), Giselle (2018), The Nutcracker (2016), Coppelia (2015), Tutus & Beyond (2015) and Swan Lake (2014).
