Maree Kearns

Maree has worked as a set and costume designer with many of Ireland’s leading companies and directors. Her work spans across theatre, dance and opera. Some of her most recent designs include Prodijig the Revolution at the Cork Opera House, Invitation to a Journey, a CoisCéim Dance Theatre, Fishamble, Crash Ensemble co-production. Other work includes Opera Briefs 2016 & 2014 for R.I.A.M, Agnes, Pageant & Faun/ As You Are for CoisCéim Dance Theatre, Monsters, Dinosaurs & Ghosts at the Peacock, Moll for the Gaiety Theatre, Desire under The Elms for Corn Exchange, These Halcyon Days (Edinburgh Fringe First winner 2013) & Moment for Landmark/Tall Tales, Zoe’s Play at The Ark, Hamlet, King Lear , Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth & Dancing at Lughnasa for Second Age, Anglo the Musical for Verdant Productions, Plasticine for CorcaDorca, Three Winters, In the Next Room, Scenes from the Big Picture & Troilus and Cressida for the Lir, The Dead School & Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme for Nomad Theatre Network (Irish Times Best Set Designer 2009).

Maree is the MFA Stage Design Course Director in the Lir Academy of Dramatic Art in Dublin.
