Mark Samaras

Mark was born in Cyprus and moved to Scotland at the age of five. He began his dance training at Janice Marshall School of Dance, and at the age of nine, also joined the Scottish Ballet Junior Associates programme for two years. At the age of eleven Mark was offered a place at The Dance School of Scotland where he trained for five years. Mark has danced as part of the BBC Young Dancer 2015 Competition in the ballet category final. He also danced alongside side the Kidd Pivot Company at Sadlers Wells as part of Crystal Pite’s Polaris (2014). Prior to this Mark completed his training at Central School of Ballet where he graduated with a BA(Hons) degree this year. In his third year Mark was part of the touring company Ballet Central, where he performed in pieces such as Christopher Gable’s Celebration, Sharon Watson’s Repetition (2) Change, Richard Bermange’s La Belle Epoqueand Christopher Marney’s War Letters.
