Paul Keogan is a set and lighting designer based in Dublin, Ireland.
His recent lighting designs include work with Abbey Theatre, Corcadorca Theatre Company, Druid, Gate Theatre, Landmark Productions, Lyric Theatre (Belfast), Nuffield Theatre Southampton, Tara Arts, The Crucible (Sheffield), Liverpool Playhouse, Liverpool Everyman, Theatre Royal (Northampton), Tiata Fahodz, Tricycle Theatre, Sherman Cymru, and Bristol Old Vic.
Paul Keogan’s designs for opera include work with Cork Opera House, Grange Park Opera, Nationale Reisopera (Netherlands), Wexford Opera Festival, Opera Zuid (Netherlands), Opera Ireland and Almeida Opera. Dance companies he has designed for include Ballet Ireland, Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and Rambert.
In addition to his stage design work Paul designed and directed The Wishing Well, a large scale projection project in Kilkenny in collaboration with David Nolan and Ros Kavanagh. He also directed the stage production of Man of Aran Re-imagined for Once Off Productions in collaboration with Liam Ó Maonlaí, Maura O’Keeffe, Mel Mercier, Síle Nic Chonaonaigh and Christopher Shutt.
