Sayako was born in Japan where she attended the Reiko Yamamoto Ballet School. Whilst studying in Japan, she took part in the Competition of Saitama where she was awarded 4th prize.
Sayako joined English National Ballet in 2008 after graduating from English National Ballet School. She performed extensively with the company which included roles in their productions of Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, Nutcracker and Strictly Gershwin. In 2012, Sayako was among the dancers that performed at the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony in London. She also took part in the collaboration production between ENB and the well-known hip-hop group Flawless.
Sayako previously performed in Ballet Ireland’s Swan Lake (2014). She re-joined the company in 2016 and performed in The Nutcracker and Giselle.
