The audience take their seats. The lights dim. Tchaikovsky’s magical, music begins and Ballet Ireland’s sparkling production of The Nutcracker unfolds.
This Christmas season Ballet Ireland will perform everyone’s seasonal favourite, The Nutcracker with live music performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Supertonesthe junior choir affiliated to Dun Laoghaire Choral Society, at the Gaiety. The company is also delighted to return to The Helix (note this performance will be without the orchestra).
This heart-warming story takes audiences on a wondrous adventure with Clara, her Nutcracker Prince, and the Sugar Plum Fairy on Christmas Eve. This delightful ballet performed by 16 top Irish and international dancers from as far afield as Japan and Australia will delight audiences of all ages. Ballet Ireland’s The Nutcracker sparkles with the joy and imagination of a childhood Christmas.
Treat the whole family to this timeless classical ballet with a live orchestra nightly at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
