Tom Lane

Tom Lane studied composition at the University of Oxford, the Royal Academy of Music and the Berlin University of the Arts. He previously worked with Ballet Ireland to create the music for Coppélia choreographed by Morgann Runacre-Temple. 

Recent composition for stage includes: The White Devil (Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, Shakespeare’s Globe); Precious Metal, Lear (John Scott, Irish Modern Dance Theatre); The Seagull (The Corn Exchange, Dublin Theatre Festival); The Aeneid, Human Child (Collapsing Horse); Oedipus, Twelfth Night (Abbey Theatre, National Theatre of Ireland, nominated best sound design 2016 Irish Times Theatre Awards); Romeo & Juliet (Gate Theatre, Dublin); Between Trees and Water (Painted Bird, nominated best sound design 2015 Irish Times Theatre Awards);Wake (Chamber Made Opera); Harp, Flatpack (Ulysses Opera Theatre, nominated Best Opera 2013 Irish Times Theatre Awards); Break (HotForTheatre); Ten, With Raised Arms, Hear Me Sing Your Song (Liv O’Donoghue); Lulu, Listowel Syndrome, DOGS (Emma Martin Dance, winner best production and best design Dublin Fringe 2012); Sometimes We Break, Bird With Boy (Junk Ensemble, winner best production Dublin Fringe 2011).
