Julia Razquin Gómara

Julia was born in the town of Pamplona in Spain and started dancing at a dance school in her city. At the age of sixteen, she continued her training moving to Madrid and joining Mariemma´s Conservatory, where she trained four years.

During that time, she became part of compañía Larreal, the conservatory young company as her first touring experience. She performed La Fille Mal Gardée, Suite de Dimitri Shostakovich by Ricardo Franco, Up&Down by Javier Monzón and many other pieces in the repertoire.

After graduating, she joined Valencia Dancing Forward, a young company in Valencia as her first professional experience. Later she joined Titoyaya in his production of Carmen, touring around France, Italy, Spain and Russia.

In 2019 she successfully auditioned for ItDansa under the direction of Catherine Allard, where she has spent the last couple of years. She had the opportunity to dance pieces from notable choreographers such as Akram Khan, Sidi Larbi-Cherkaoui, Alexander Ekman, Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, Lorena Nogal among others; while working with great dancers and repetiteurs like Mathilde Van de Meerendok, Nora Sitges or Nico Monaco.

Recently, she has worked with Opéra National de Lorraine joining them for its production Un Ballo in Maschera.

Julia joined Ballet Ireland in 2022 for the Bold Moves season.
