Electric Picnic 2022 Rooster

“…Christopher Bruce’s Rooster, brings old-rocker sensibility to an array of songs by The Rolling Stones. The Stones’ songs have a different flavour in this context, more disciplined and careful, as they are dominated by the spectacular choreography. A humorous representation of masculinity as a strutting cock is reprised throughout.”

The Independent

We’re bringing ballet and rock ‘n roll to the Electric Picnic Festival 2022 this year!
Dublin audiences loved Christopher Bruce’s ROOSTER when we performed this spring so we’re bringing back and taking it big.

The dancers will mesmerise audiences with the rock ‘n’ roll swagger of The Rolling Stones as dance comes thrillingly to life in Rooster. Bruce’s thrilling choreography encapsulate the essence of time during the swinging sixties with sharp-suited, snake-hipped men and strong, sassy women performing some of The Rolling Stones’ most famous tunes, including Not Fade Away, Paint It Black, Sympathy for the Devil and Little Red Rooster.

Find us in this year’s first ever Theatre Programme.

Feel the rock ‘n’ roll energy of Ballet Ireland live on stage!
